The Arctic & Antarctic are something called a tundra biome. It is extremely icy & frigid.
The Arctic Fox ( Arctic )
The arctic fox has great abilities to camouflage in surroundings. It changes the color of its fur to blend in its surroundings. In the summer, it has gray fur to match the rocky ground. In the winter, it changes its fur to be white and camouflage in the snow. The arctic fox changes color and sneaks on its prey. Its prey includes lemmings, voles, hares, birds, eggs, carrion, and other rodents. Polar bears, wolf packs and humans are only real predators of the adult Arctic fox, along with large birds of prey such as snowy owls, that primarily prey on the smaller and more vulnerable Arctic fox cubs.

The Polar Bear ( Arctic )
The polar bear has abilities to camouflage also but only in the winter. It has many weird parts that you might that you might know. It doesn't have white skin! It actually has BLACK FUR. Polar bears feed mainly on ringed and bearded seals. Depending upon their location, they also eat harp and hooded seals and scavenge on carcasses of beluga whales, walruses, narwhals, and bow head whales.
On occasion, polar bears kill beluga whales and young walruses. Adult polar bears have no natural predators except other polar bears. Cubs less than one year old sometimes are prey to wolves and other carnivores. Newborn cubs may be cannibalized by malnourished mothers or adult male polar bears.

The Emperor Penguin
By far the world’s largest penguin species, emperor penguins can grow up to 4 feet tall and weigh more than 80 pounds! It is the only Antarctic animal that breeds during the harsh winter, when hundreds or even thousands of penguins huddle together in colonies for warmth. Every year, pairs of emperor penguins dutifully raise a single chick. Male penguins incubate the egg for two months without eating a single meal, while females forage for food.
They also evolved something called counter shading. They have black backs to protect them from predators above, because of the dark sea floor, and predators below see the penguin's white bellies and the sunny water above. This is actually called camouflage. Although emperor penguins are effective hunters, they are also prey to a few Antarctic animals as well.
Only a third of the juvenile penguins will make it to their first birthday, falling prey to seabirds like giant petrels or skuas. In the water, both juveniles and adults are eaten by leopard seals and killer whales.
